Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Conduct vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and fluid replacements to keep vehicles running smoothly.
- Repair and replace mechanical components such as belts, hoses, filters, and powertrain parts with precision using hand tools and power tools.
- Diagnose complex problems by interpreting schematics and automotive electrical diagrams to ensure accurate repairs.
- Service GM vehicles and other makes/models by adhering to manufacturer specifications for repairs and maintenance procedures.
- Utilize auto estimating software to assess repair needs accurately and communicate findings effectively with customers.
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards and quality control protocols.
Requirements
- Proven dealership or service center experience as an Automotive Technician or Service Technician.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair including diesel engine repair and transmission work.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration, wheel alignment equipment, welding techniques, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic machines efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Experience working on GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus; ASE certification is preferred but not required.
