Must hold a current NC 025 Elementary Ed (K-6) Educator's Licence
The Elementary Interventionist serves as a collaborative instructional leader who provides targeted academic intervention for students while supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the school. This position combines direct student intervention with classroom-based instructional support to strengthen student achievement and build teacher capacity.
The Elementary Interventionist works directly with students to provide evidence-based interventions that address identified academic needs, monitor student progress, and collaborate with teachers to ensure interventions align with core classroom instruction. In addition, the Interventionist partners with teachers to strengthen instructional practices by modeling effective teaching strategies, supporting curriculum implementation, analyzing student data, facilitating collaborative planning, and providing personalized, job-embedded coaching and ongoing one-on-one support. This collaborative approach is designed to improve student outcomes, promote professional growth, and enhance overall instructional effectiveness throughout the school.
This position is non-evaluative and does not include responsibility for formal teacher evaluation or schoolwide testing coordination.
