What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deli Counter Clerk position at Randazzo's Fresh Market?
As a Deli Counter clerk at Randazzo's the main objective is to provide our customers with exceptional service in a timely manner, all while in a safe and clean environment to ensure the customers return.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Preparing, slicing, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising of deli department products.
- Deli products include deli meats, cheeses, salads, sandwiches, dips, soups, gourmet and cold case items.
- Maintaining the freshness and cleanliness of the olive bar.
- Serving the customers exactly what they want in a friendly, timely, and professional manner.
- Informing the customer about our deli products and services to help increase sales.
- Working with equipment such as slicers, ovens, and cheese grating and slicing equipment.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the department and all equipment used within.
- Proper rotation of product and perishable items ensuring quality and freshness.
- Unloading deli stock from receiving area and moving to proper storage areas.
- Must be able to work every weekend, all holidays, and three days prior to any holiday.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
