What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Massage Therapist position at Randall Chiropractic and Wellness?
Licensed Massage Therapist — Your Patients Are Already Asking for You
Randall Chiropractic & Wellness | Dubuque, Iowa Part-Time | W-2 Employee
What if you could focus on being an exceptional massage therapist…without also having to be the receptionist, scheduler, marketer, laundry department, and business owner?
We think that's a pretty good deal, too.
Randall Chiropractic & Wellness is growing, and our patients have been asking—repeatedly—for massage therapy to become part of the care we offer.
In fact, we already have an established group of patients interested in massage before we've even officially launched the service.
So we're looking for an incredible Licensed Massage Therapist to help us build the next chapter of our practice.
And no, we're not looking for someone to simply rent a room and figure it out alone.
We're building something much more collaborative than that.
What makes this different?
Randall Chiropractic & Wellness is an established, growing chiropractic practice where we believe great care gets even better when the right people work together.
As our massage therapist, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside Dr. Lynn Randall in an environment where chiropractic and massage therapy can complement one another as part of thoughtful, patient-centered care.
You bring your hands, your expertise, and your heart for helping people feel better.
We'll bring the infrastructure.
That means:
- An established chiropractic patient base with existing demand for massage therapy
- Front-desk support for scheduling and patient communication
- Linens, laundry, oils, supplies, massage room and equipment provided
- Practice software and administrative support
- Marketing support to help grow the massage department
- Opportunities for internal referrals and collaborative care
- A W-2 employee position rather than having to build and operate your own business
- A practice owner who genuinely wants your ideas and expertise as this department grows
In other words: we want you spending your energy treating people—not washing sheets at 9 p.m.
Who we'd love to meet
You might be a great fit if you're a licensed—or soon-to-be-licensed—massage therapist who takes your craft seriously but doesn't necessarily dream of doing every single thing required to run a solo massage business.
Maybe you're an experienced therapist who loves your patients but is tired of the business model you're working in.
Maybe you're newer to the profession and looking for the right place to grow.
Maybe you love therapeutic work and wish you had more opportunity to collaborate with another healthcare provider.
Or maybe you're simply ready for an environment where you're treated like an important part of the team.
We're open to the right person, not just the right résumé.
We especially value someone who is:
- Warm, professional and excellent with people
- Reliable and communicative
- Confident in therapeutic massage while always wanting to learn
- Comfortable collaborating as part of a healthcare team
- Interested in building long-term patient relationships
Part-time with scheduling flexibility. Specific days/hours will be discussed based on candidate availability and practice needs.
- Excited by growth and helping shape a developing massage department
- Low on drama, high on follow-through (we like nice humans around here)
Additional training in areas such as prenatal massage, cupping, myofascial techniques, sports massage, TMJ work, assisted stretching or other therapeutic modalities is a plus—but not required.
About the role
This is initially a part-time W-2 position with the opportunity to grow as patient demand and the department expand.
Compensation is structured as a percentage of collected massage-service revenue, with the massage therapist receiving 100% of voluntary patient gratuities.
We also believe great team members should have opportunities to be recognized for helping the whole practice thrive, so the position includes eligibility for quarterly performance bonuses after the initial 90-day period.
We'll talk openly about schedule, compensation structure, expectations and growth opportunities during the interview process. We don't believe either of us should have to decode the fine print to figure out whether this could be a good fit.
A little about us
Randall Chiropractic & Wellness isn't interested in becoming a giant, impersonal healthcare factory.
We're building a practice where patients feel known, team members enjoy coming to work, providers collaborate, and excellent care actually feels…well, caring.
We're growing intentionally, and massage therapy is an important part of where we're headed next.
The best part?
The patients are already asking for you.
Now we just need to find you.
