Maintenance Level 2 Technician

Rand machine is seeking a skilled and experienced Level 2 Maintenance Technician with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks on various equipment and systems. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of our facilities. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical principles, possesses excellent problem-solving abilities, and demonstrates a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

?Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.

?Diagnose and perform repairs, replacements, or adjustments as necessary.

?Troubleshoot and repair electrical components such as motors, control panels, switchboards, circuit breakers, transformers, and lighting systems.

?Interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues.

?Install, maintain and calibrate equipment, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and safety standards.

?Collaborate with maintenance team members and other departments to schedule maintenance activities, prioritize tasks, and minimize equipment downtime.

?Utilize testing equipment and tools to measure voltage, current, resistance, and other electrical parameters for troubleshooting and verification purposes.

?Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition, utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other documentation tools.

?Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures, work instructions, and safety protocols.

?Stay updated on industry advancements, best practices, and regulatory changes pertaining to electrical systems and maintenance techniques.Requirements:

?Associate degree or Certificate Program; completion of a relevant technical program or apprenticeship is preferred.

?Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician, with a focus on electrical systems and equipment.

?Strong knowledge of electrical principles, codes, and regulations.

?Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.

?Experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical components such as motors, control panels, switchboards, circuit breakers, transformers, and lighting systems.

?Familiarity with testing equipment, tools, and meters used for electrical diagnostics and measurements.

?Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

?Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

?Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

?Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

?Commitment to safety practices and adherence to safety regulations.
