Sr. Network/Desktop Systems Engineer
Location: Muskegon, MI (with Great Lakes travel)
Company: Rand-ASC Holdings
Love tech? Love boats? You might be our person.
We’re looking for a hands-on IT expert who can wrangle networks, chat with end-users, and climb aboard a freighter without spilling their coffee. If you’ve got solid infrastructure chops and don’t mind traveling to ports around the Great Lakes, let’s talk.
What You’ll Do:
Supporting humans (and machines):
You’ll be the go-to tech support for our teams on land and at sea. You’ll solve problems, soothe frustrations, and keep everything from laptops to satellite comms running smoothly.
Taming the telecom beast:
Whether it’s patching up an office phone system or getting Wi-Fi working 100 miles offshore, you'll keep everyone connected.
Designing and implementing cool tech stuff:
Collaborate with vessel officers, onshore staff, and external experts to bring cutting-edge solutions to our infrastructure. Evaluate and implement new tech, travel to field sites, and make sure we’re always sailing with the best.
Keeping your tech game sharp:
Stay on top of the latest trends in IT systems, hardware, and infrastructure. We love people who love learning.
You Bring:
- You're equal parts IT guru and people person.
- 3–5 years in IT infrastructure; 2 in cloud environments.
- Experience with Windows, Azure, AD, Exchange, networking gear, and helpdesk tools.
- A willingness to travel, climb ladders, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- A TWIC card or ability to get one.
This role is for the curious, the capable, and the not-afraid-to-get-a-little-salty.
Apply now and become a tech wizard behind our fleet. (We promise there’s coffee on board.)
