Position SummaryRFK Insurance is seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative (CSR) to support our personal lines (auto, home) and commercial lines book of business. The ideal candidate is a licensed insurance professional who can hit the ground running — managing client relationships, handling day-to-day servicing, and working confidently with carriers and underwriters. This role is best suited for someone with agency experience who takes pride in accurate work and responsive client service.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary service contact for an assigned book of personal and commercial lines clients
- Handle policy changes, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements with accuracy and minimal oversight
- Respond to client inquiries on coverage, billing, claims status, and certificates of insurance
- Review policies and endorsements for accuracy; identify coverage gaps and recommend adjustments
- Prepare quotes, applications, and submissions for new and renewal business in coordination with producers
- Maintain complete and accurate client records, documentation, and activity notes in AMS360
- Communicate directly with carriers, underwriters, and wholesalers to resolve service and underwriting issues
- Proactively follow up with clients on renewals, outstanding items, and account rounding opportunities
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities and collaborate with producers to grow accounts
- Ensure compliance with agency procedures, carrier guidelines, and state insurance regulations
Required
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license
- 2 years of prior experience as a CSR or account representative at an independent insurance agency
- Working knowledge of personal lines and commercial lines coverages, forms, and workflows
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Preferred
- Hands-on experience with AMS360 (Vertafore) agency management system
- Experience with carrier portals and comparative raters
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
