Skilled Maintenance Technician; emphasis on welding (MIG/TIG/Stick)

Hourly Pay Rate (Range): $21.00 - $26.00We are looking for a skilled maintenance technician with an emphasis on welding (gas/MIG/TIG/Stick) is responsible for applying expertise in various welding techniques to perform maintenance, repair, and fabrication of metal structures and equipment within an industrial or manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong understanding of both general mechanical maintenance and specialized welding standards. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform diverse welding tasks: Execute welding, cutting, and brazing using various methods, including Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW/Stick), and oxy-acetylene/plasma cutting.Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine and emergency repairs on production equipment, machinery, and facility infrastructure (e.g., pumps, conveyors, piping, structural supports) to minimize downtime.Fabrication and Installation: Fabricate new parts, platforms, and structures from blueprints and technical drawings, as well as assist with the installation of new equipment.Inspection and Quality Assurance: Inspect welds and materials for quality and adherence to industry standards (e.g., AWS, ASME), performing necessary rework to address flaws like porosity or fractures.Troubleshooting and Diagnosis: Diagnose mechanical and structural issues in equipment and develop effective repair plans in collaboration with engineering and maintenance teams.Preventive Maintenance: Adhere to and perform preventive maintenance (PM) programs to extend equipment lifespan and proactively identify potential issues.Safety and Compliance: Consistently follow all safety protocols, use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), maintain a safe and organized work area, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.Company DescriptionRand Employment Solutions
