About the role
Rancho Tree Service is hiring Line Clearance Qualified Tree Trimmers to trim and remove trees near energized overhead power lines. You'll climb or work from an aerial lift, work safely around the lines, and help keep the crew productive.
What you'll do
- Climb and/or operate aerial lifts to trim and remove trees near energized lines
- Operate chainsaws, pole saws, and chippers safely
- Perform groundman duties as needed
- Take part in daily job briefings and follow OSHA 29 CFR 1910.269 and ANSI Z133 safety standards
- Help train and guide Groundmen on safe work practices
What we're looking for
- Line Clearance Qualified (OSHA 1910.269)
- 1 years of line clearance tree trimming experience
- Climbing and/or aerial lift experience
- Strong knowledge of minimum approach distances and electrical hazard controls
- Able to work at heights, outdoors in all weather and at high elevation
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus
- Willing to work overtime and respond to storm events when needed
**$100 PER DIEM PER WORKDAY (5-6 DAYS PER WEEK = $500-600 PER DIEM) FOR ALL WORK PERFORMED IN SILVER CITY, NM**
