We are Rancho Tree Service, California’s Leading Utility Vegetation Management, Environmental and Arboriculture Experts. We are currently hiring across our California operations.
This listing is for the position of CUSTOMER COORDINATOR with Rancho Tree Service across the High Desert region of San Bernardino and Kern Counties.
We’re in search of a highly skilled field leader dedicated to providing top tier customer service and resolving conflicts to ensure work in completed prior to deadlines The ideal candidate will have a record of accomplishment in managing day-to-day customer coordination efforts in a field setting with a high level of attention to detail.
Essential Functions:
- Obtains oral or written permission/notification from property owner, municipal, business to trim, remove or apply herbicide to trees. Secures appropriate local permits when needed. Arranges with customer or property owner to obtain access and advises of any interruption if applicable. Explains work to be performed and sets timeline for completion with
- Responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of all records and reports related to permission/notification from customer/homeowner to General Foreperson / Environmental Specialist and crew personnel.
- Plans and lays out work for crew members. Considers factors such as the ability to get power equipment to locations, time required to complete work, clean-up time, equipment available, weather conditions and special instructions by customers/homeowners.
- Inspects right of ways to assess vegetation conditions and determine required maintenance.
- Responds to questions and concerns regarding work specifications and requirements.
- Inspects work completed by crew/contractors for compliance and utility specifications.
- Provides support and assistance on special projects as assigned by the utility.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working on tree trimming or clearing crews, as a Pre-Inspector or Utility Forester.
- Possesses excellent leadership skills and can handle challenging customer interactions tactfully
- Has a robust knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits and correct arboricultural techniques for trimming, pruning, repairing, maintaining and removing, as applies to working close to energized conductors.
- Knows and understands the American National Standards for Tree Care Operations (ANSI Z133)
- Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, with the public, Utility representatives, customers, and fellow employees.
- ISA Certified Arborist preferred or must be able to complete ISA certification within 6 months of employment.
- Must be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work tasks such as rain, heat, sun, cold, snow.
- Ability to work long hours and overtime during emergencies (including holidays, weekends, storm work)
- Clean DMV Driving Record and Valid Driver's License
- CA DPR QAL license is an asset

Per California pay transparency laws, this is a full-time position that ranges from $30 per hour DOE
