Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic High school or College Swim Instructor to join our team in the Spring, Summer, or Fall. Ideally this candidate should have a background in swimming. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
Swim Instructor Duties
- Conduct individual swim lessons, focusing on skill development and water safety.
- Assess students' swimming abilities and tailor lessons accordingly to meet their needs.
- Create engaging lessons that incorporate various swimming techniques and styles.
- Foster a positive learning atmosphere that encourages students to build confidence in the water.
- Monitor students during lessons to ensure safety and proper technique.
- Communicate effectively with students and their patrons regarding progress and areas for improvement.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area before, during, and after lessons.
- Collaborate with other instructors to enhance the overall swim program.
Lifeguard Duties
- Ensure the safety of individuals around the pool
- Monitor the activities around the pool
- Ensure patrons follow the facility rules
- Provide immediate assistance to individuals in distress, including CPR, other lifesaving techniques and coordinating with emergency services
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pool area before, during, and after your shift.
Experience
- No work experience necessary
- Legally allowed to work in the United States
- Must be at least 14 years old on or before June
- Must be at least 15 and a half years old on or before June to be a Lifeguard
- Work Permit if under 18 years old
- Proficiency in freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke
- Swim team experience is a plus, but not required
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
