Department: Vernon, Operations

Reports to: Brian Feder, Director of IT

Rancho Foods is in search of a qualified information technology technician to join our team.

Job Summary

Rancho Foods’ Information Technology Technician bears the responsibility for hardware, software, and networking functions including, but not limited to: help desk support, install and configure hardware and software components, maintain software updates, troubleshooting issues. The IT technician will be the initial point of contact for employees experiencing hardware and software issues.

Essential Functions

· Serve as primary point of contact to employees experiencing issues with hardware, software, and network issues.

· Perform on-site and remote troubleshooting through appropriate questioning and diagnostic techniques.

· Diagnose and resolve technical issues.

· Train employees in hardware and software usage techniques.

· Maintain accurate record keeping of issues, resolutions, installations, and configurations.

· Provide needed information and suggested improvements on IT products, services, and procedures.

· Set up new user accounts.

· Allocate appropriate equipment to specific employees.

· Maintain software updates.

· Assist end users with 2FA enrollment.

· Control and review Mobile Device Management systems.

· Administer & set-up mobile phones “out of box.”

· Troubleshoot both Android and OS software.

· Configure desk phone(s) for new personnel.

· Update contact information and maintain proper address lists.

· Assist in troubleshooting printer connectivity issues.

· Website development and support.

· Develop new hardware and software operational policies to better the company.

· Operating Systems

o Windows 10/11, basic understanding of Windows Server (2019–2025)

· Microsoft Infrastructure:

o Active Directory (users, groups, OUs, basic GPOs)

o Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online)

o Basic knowledge of Azure AD and Intune

· Networking Basics:

o IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VPN

o Troubleshooting LAN/Wi-Fi issues

Job Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent is required

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred

Minimum of two years’ experience in computer network and systems maintenance
