Job Description: High School Science Teacher
Title: High School Science Teacher
Supervisor: Middle School/High School Principal
Classification: Exempt
Description: A High School Science Teacher is responsible for passionately providing instruction in the field of science, promoting student progress, and promoting and managing a safe, positive classroom environment.

- Demonstrates a passion for Christ and his Kingdom through personal spiritual discipline and public ministry.
- Seeks to grow in that relationship with Christ through personal spiritual discipline, education, accountability and service to his Kingdom.
Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in science-related field of study from an accredited university or college required
- Master’s degree and/or California teaching credential and/or ACSI certification desirable
- Ability to effectively teach physical and life sciences and/or biology and chemistry essentials
- Command of subject matter and ability to wisely engage students as demonstrated through quality experience desirable
- Ability to comply with both written and oral instructions
- Proficiency in maintaining efficient classroom management skills
- Proficiency in demonstrating effective organizational skills
- Self-motivated
- Desire to serve in co-curricular activities, such as athletics or arts, welcomed
- Obtain a certificate of negative result for TB screening before hire
- Cleared live scan background check
Areas of Expected Proficiencies:
- Assist Robotics class and competitive Robotics Club if needed.
- Passionately and effectively teach courses in the field of science, including but not limited to physical, life, chemistry and/or biology
- Maintain classroom control that fosters a safe, positive environment for all students and staff in accordance with school, state and all applicable laws and regulations
- Effectively engage students, caring for them through relational ministry while simultaneously taking responsibility for upholding high academic standards, helping students achieve their maximum
- Communicate, engage and collaborate with fellow faculty and staff in a collegial and supportive manner
- Demonstrate professional practices in teaching in alignment with Rancho guidelines and policies
Other Expectations:
- Actively and collaboratively participate as a member of the school faculty
- Keep phone and email communications responsive
- Follow the policies outlined in the Secondary Employee Handbook
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Salary : $47,000 - $58,545
