Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, tree trimming, gardening, and planting to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy
- Operate hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other machinery safely and efficiently for construction, hardscape installation, or repairs
- Conduct lawn care activities such as edging, aerating, fertilizing, and snow plowing during seasonal changes
- Maintain irrigation systems, ensuring proper functioning for optimal landscape health
- Assist with tree care tasks including pruning, removal, and hazard assessment to promote safety and growth
- Support general building maintenance by repairing fixtures, painting, or replacing damaged components
- Implement landscaping projects involving hardscape features like patios or walkways while adhering to design specifications
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities and report any hazards or issues promptly
Experience
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or groundskeeping with knowledge of horticulture principles
- Hands-on familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators or similar machinery
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, snow plowing techniques, tree care practices including trimming and removal
- Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks on buildings and outdoor structures effectively
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly
- Prior experience working outdoors in various weather conditions is preferred
- Certification or training in landscaping, horticulture, or related fields is a plus but not required
