Position Summary:
Support the Core Values of Ranch Hope by upholding all standards relating to quality, safety, partnership, integrity, empowerment, stewardship and compassion. Responsible for coordination of training programs (i.e., new hire orientation training, Nurtured Heart and Handle with Care) as well as annual compliance training, individual retraining, coaching, and overall staff development.
Knowledge:
· Working knowledge of NJ licensing requirements as it pertains to the treatment program, shelter and school
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Programs to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
· Thorough knowledge of Ranch Hope employee policies and practices
· Knowledgeable of Council on Accreditation (COA) related training standards for Residential, Shelter, and HILLS programs

- Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate training needs of night proctors, shelter, school, evening, and weekend staff

- Ability to administer hands on training which requires physical restraint maneuvers, CPR and AED
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Assume day to day responsibility for the Residential and Shelter training programs
· Serve as certified Handle with Care Instructor
· Serve as a Nurtured Heart Approach (NHA) Instructor and Coach
· Serve as a CPR/First Aid/AED instructor
· Provide in cottage training to all new staff and on the floor NHA coaching as needed
· Track training related data over time to identify trends and make improvements to training curriculum/activities
· Coordinate and assist with trainings required for compliance with licensing regulation and in response to corrective action/improvement plans.
· Assist with the debriefing process. Meet with staff and youth and document/report findings.
· Create PowerPoint Presentations
· Coordinate and assist with delivery of the orientation program
· Assist with training needs analysis through use of surveys and supervisor/management feedback
· Measure success of training programs through analysis of surveys and review of critical incidents
· Provide one-on-one coaching to staff requiring a refresher and those preparing for advancement
· Document all employee trainings by logging information into appropriate databases and creating training certifications
· Occasional off-site travel required for professional certifications and staff development
· Occasional off-site travel required for Shelter staff trainings.
· Promote and support quality assurance/quality improvement programs and initiatives as needed
· Attend departmental meetings to ensure training programs and information are current
· Participate in Safety and Performance Quality Improvement Committee meetings.
Education & Professional Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in training, education, or human resources required, master’s degree preferred.
· Demonstrated working knowledge of NJ Licensing requirements
· Three years progressively responsible HR, staff training/staff development, or supervisory experience
· A minimum of three years’ experience working in a residential setting preferred
Certifications/Licenses Required:
· Must possess a valid NJ Drivers License
· CPR, First Aid, Handle with Care and Nurtured Heart certifications required within three months of hire.

· Seeing to read a variety of materials
· Dexterity of the hands and fingers to operate keyboard and office equipment
· Sitting / standing for extended periods of time
· Ability to perform and demonstrate restraints
· Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $43,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
