About the Position
RANA is seeking a Design Associate to join our team of landscape architects and ecological designers. Design Associates collaborate closely with project teams to advance design ideas from concept through construction documentation and implementation.
We are looking for design-minded candidates who bring a creative and analytical approach to their work —individuals equally inspired by art and science. The ideal candidate is curious, self-motivated, and thrives in a collaborative working environment.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and development of projects from concept design through construction documentation and implementation.
- Develop graphic presentations, drawings, and 3D models that clearly communicate design intent.
- Integrate ecological principles and technical understanding of plants, soils, hydrology, and materials into design work.
- Perform research and analysis to inform design solutions.
- Collaborate with team members across disciplines and take initiative in advancing project work.
- Support the preparation of technical drawings, details, and specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
- 1-3 years of professional experience.
- Strong graphic communication and drawing skills (hand and digital)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino and Adobe Creative Suite required.
- 3D modeling skills and familiarity with digital visualization tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated interest in ecological design, botany, and biology is a plus.
