Exciting Outdoor Job Opportunity for Seasonal Employment!
Ramsey Outdoor is seeking Paddle Sports rental staff to operate our rental concession at the Franklin Lakes Nature Preserve in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Ramsey Outdoor exclusively rents canoes, kayaks, and stand up paddle boards at the Franklin Lakes Nature Preserve from mid May through the end of September. This position offers an opportunity to be outside in a picturesque, fun environment on the water. Additionally, it would be great for someone looking for seasonal employment. Additional hours will potentially be available at our retail store, if desired.
Responsibilities Include:
- Greeting the public
- Registering participants for rentals
- Providing instruction and safety information to customers
- Handling cash and credit cards
- Assisting customers into and out of boats
- Cleaning and maintaining boats
- On-water rescue
- Loading and unloading kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards (must be able to lift 50lbs)
Requirements:
- Paddling experience preferred
- Ability to help lift boats in and out of storage facility (must be able to lift 50lbs)
