Duties
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles and warehouse equipment.
- Receive inbound freight and prepare outbound freight.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Follow designated routes for delivery and pick-up, adhering strictly to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption and vehicle utilization.
- Ensure all freight is loaded securely and properly balanced to prevent shifting during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered en route.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
- Organize and clean warehouse.

Experience
- Organizational skills
- Proven commercial driving experience.
- Hands-on experience with truck driving involving manual transmissions.
- Demonstrated ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or other equipment when required.
- Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to trucking operations.
- Prior experience working with various trucks is advantageous.
- HAZMAT a plus. Ability to get future HAZMAT is a requirement.
- Delivery driver experience that emphasizes punctuality, reliability, and excellent customer service skills.
