The current vacancy is on the Information Services Business Technology team in the Information and Public Records (IPR) service team. The eligibility list created by this vacancy may be used to hire other vacancies in the department or County.
This opportunity resides within Information Services Business Technology and will report to the Information and Public Records Capability Manager. The successful candidate will assist in development, maintenance and support of Critical County Systems (CCS) associated with Property Records, Appraisal, Tax, and Treasury (payment acceptance and processing), and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
Gather the requirements to plan, design, develop, test and launch efficient applications in support of core organizational functions and business processes. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. The IS Senior Business Analyst is also responsible for documenting findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to applications issues. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT investments; and perform related duties as assigned. This includes the ability to communicate technical information in functional terms.
This position has a high degree of independence and complex work which involves both project-specific objectives as well as long term, broad strategic level planning within Ramsey County including Information Technology, Critical County Systems (CCS) Applications. Projects may involve working with stakeholders, outside consultants, department senior managers, and multiple departments, and in the case of CCS-related applications, may involve work that integrates multiple components of the software to satisfy business process requirements.

- Performing the role of Analyst on project work including upgrades, enhancements, implementation of new functionality and special analysis/research as required.
- Developing and executing business/technology roadmap for Critical County Systems; creating and presenting solution recommendations.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with business, information services and vendor resources; coordinating work between these resources.
- Eliciting business requirements; developing business requirement documentation and facilitating all phases of testing.
- Developing and delivering training associated with new functionality.
