Site Foreman
We are seeking qualified foremen to run crews for commercial job sites, all within the Greater Pittsburgh area. This position will be responsible for all day-to-day activities and field coordination for their specific jobsites.
Responsibilities include:
- Ability to read civil blueprints and specifications
- Setup grade lasers and perform site layout
- Running a small crew (3 or 4 people) and delineating duties as needed
- Developing "look-ahead" schedules to project future work
- Communicate effectively with onsite general superintendents
- Attend jobsite meetings as needed
- Work with office personnel to submit field RFIs and develop as-builts
- Ordering materials and setting up deliveries timely
- Working with Project Managers to ensure labor, materials, and equipment are ready to meet schedule
- Submitting daily logs and timesheets for crew electronically
- Ensuring safety compliance with specific jobsite requirements
Mandatory requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working on commercial building sites
- Experience in earthwork, laying pipe, checking grades, setting inlets/manholes
- Competent with smart phones and/or electronic tablets
- Valid driver’s license
- Many of our projects will be on school properties, applicable background checks will be required.
Preferred candidates will possess the following:
- Knowledge of running small equipment (e.g., skid steers, small excavators)
- Minimum 2 years of experience supervising a site crew
- Experience coordinating building trades projects
