• Provide armed security at site

• Enforce access control procedures within time required

• Escort unauthorized persons from facility/grounds

• Enforce Airport Terminal and curb regulations

• Issue parking warnings and citations

• Respond to TSA passenger screening checkpoint timely

• Monitor, patrol and inspection of Airport Terminal facilities

• Conduct vehicle inspections

• Respond to unattended passenger's bags or items

• Collect, process, and retain illegal items found or impounded at site

• Assist during Airport evacuations, power outages or other emergency situations

• Complete required reports

• Provide excellent customer service to the public, tenants and Airport staff

• Be pleasant and courteous at all times

• Perform assigned responsibilities under both routine and stressful conditions
• Effectively communicate and follow written and oral instructions in English

• Perform duties quickly, quietly and with authority, yet not in an abusive, abrasive or threatening manner

• Stand for long periods of time, ascend and descend stairs quickly, walk briskly, run, when necessary, both

• Act as 'First Responder' in emergency situations including active shooter until relieved

DAYS AND HOURS:

32-40 hours. All shifts

PAY: $20.00 an hour

• Former law enforcement preferred or one year of military or security experience is fine

• Customer service skills a MUST

• Must be 21 years of age to receive certification as an armed security professional

• Proficient computer skills to perform data entry and complete reports electronically

• Possess a High School Diploma or GED

• Have or be able to obtain a DPSST Armed Security License

• Have or be able to obtain a First Aid and CPR Certification

• Possess a valid State of Oregon driver's license and be insurable to drive company vehicles

• Employer performs comprehensive background check and pass pre-employment drug test

• Must pass TSA Security Threat Assessment (STA), FBI fingerprint Criminal History Records Check (CHRC)

• Wear a ballistic vest at all times and in any weather condition

• Carry a firearm and pass all required training and testing
