THE OPPORTUNITY
A fast-scaling, a high-growth, subscription-based digital platform serving hundreds of thousands professionals across multiple verticals — is looking for a Vice President, Data & Analytics to lead one of the most consequential transformations in the company's history.
The Data & Analytics function today is a tenured, high-caliber team spanning directors, analytics managers, and analysts. It has the talent and the infrastructure. What it needs now is an executive who can elevate it from a reporting and support function into a true strategic business multiplier — embedding predictive, prescriptive, and AI-enabled capabilities directly into how the business grows, retains customers, and operates at scale.
This role reports to a C Suite Officer and serves all business ecosystems as a shared service across finance, operations, marketing, product, and customer experience. It is an enterprise-scope leadership role with executive visibility, a clear mandate, and significant room to build.

WHAT YOU'LL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
▸ TRANSFORM THE FUNCTION
• Shift Data & Analytics from reactive reporting to embedded, scalable capabilities that drive measurable business outcomes
• Build predictive, prescriptive, and AI-enabled decision systems integrated directly into business workflows and customer experiences
• Create repeatable operating frameworks connecting business priorities → data activation → analytics → measurable impact
▸ DRIVE AN AI-FIRST OPERATING MODEL
• Operate the function AI-first: use AI to accelerate insight generation, automate manual reporting, and scale decision support
• Embed AI-enabled workflows and self-service capabilities to improve enterprise access to trusted, decision-ready insights
• Establish responsible AI governance that enables broad adoption while maintaining quality and trust
▸ ENABLE ENTERPRISE PERFORMANCE & DECISION-MAKING
• Partner with senior business leaders to identify and operationalize high-value analytics and AI capabilities
• Build enterprise KPI frameworks, performance visibility, and accountability structures that improve execution speed
• Measurably improve the speed from data availability → insight → decision → business action
▸ OWN THE DATA FOUNDATION
• Partner with Technology and Data Engineering to activate fragmented data assets into scalable, contextualized enterprise capabilities
• Define business-driven standards for data readiness: completeness, latency, accessibility, and usability
• Validate and benchmark enterprise data assets to ensure they're reliable and fit-for-purpose for advanced analytics and AI
▸ BUILD AND LEAD THE TEAM
• Develop a high-performing team with strong business acumen, analytical depth, and AI fluency
• Stabilize, retain, and elevate existing talent through a leadership transition
• Foster a culture of ownership, experimentation, accountability, and measurable business impact

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
MUST-HAVES:
• Proven track record transforming data/analytics from cost center to business multiplier — the narrative matters
• Demonstrated experience building or operationalizing AI-enabled workflows at scale — not just familiarity with the concepts
• Metrics-driven, outcome-focused leadership with strong executive communication and storytelling
• Experience leading multi-level teams (directors, managers, ICs) in complex, cross-functional environments
• Ability to influence senior business leaders and translate analytics into operational and strategic action
• Track record of driving measurable business impact: revenue growth, retention, forecasting accuracy, efficiency, or productivity gains
STRONG DIFFERENTIATORS:
• Background at subscription-based or customer-journey-intensive companies — think Spotify, Duolingo, Peloton, Instacart, BetterUp, Stitch Fix, Zillow, Netflix, Zapier, or similar
• Experience operating in complex, post-acquisition, or fragmented-data environments
• MBA or advanced degree in Analytics, Data Science, Business, or a related field
• Product-led growth environment experience
• Demonstrated ability to stabilize and retain teams through leadership transitions
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED
• Measurable business value delivered through analytics and AI (revenue, retention, margin, productivity)
• Percentage of analytics initiatives operationalized as scalable capabilities vs. one-time analyses
• Adoption and impact of predictive/prescriptive capabilities embedded into business workflows
• Reduction in manual reporting and analytical prep through automation and AI-enabled workflows
• Speed from data → insight → decision → action across the enterprise
• Improvement in enterprise KPI alignment, reporting consistency, and decision confidence
• Talent retention, engagement, and development within the Data & Analytics organization
