Responsibilities
Operate tractor-trailers with manual or Automatic transmission across designated local routes, ensuring punctual deliveries and pickups
Transport Automotive J.I.T dedicated runs, starting around noon, mon through sat
Utilize GPS navigation systems to follow optimized routes and ensure accurate delivery schedules
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and cargo securement
Maintain accurate documentation for deliveries, pickups, and compliance with FMCSA regulations; complete shift reports and logs diligently
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
Experience
Previous experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on local route driving preferred with a MIN OF 1YEAR RECENT
Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation), FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), is essential
Proficiency in using GPS navigation systems for route planning and execution
Ability to operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions
Pay: From $0.60 per mile
