Job Summary
Ramona Convent Secondary School seeks a passionate, organized, and student-centered School Librarian for a full-time position. The School Librarian manages daily library operations, supports students and faculty, promotes information literacy, and fosters a welcoming environment that encourages reading, research, and independent learning. This role also includes proctoring Advanced Placement (AP) exams and dual enrollment college courses.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the school library.
- Supervise students and maintain a productive library environment.
- Coordinate the Book Buddies reading program.
- Proctor AP exams and dual enrollment college course assessments.
- Assist students, faculty, and staff with research, library resources, and technology.
- Maintain library collections and cataloging systems.
- Develop programs that promote literacy, research skills, and student engagement.
- Collaborate with faculty to support curriculum and instructional goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Education, or a related field.
- Experience in a high school or educational library setting.
- Knowledge of library management, cataloging, and classification systems.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage students through creative library programming.
- Experience with educational technology and digital library resources.
- Ability to supervise students and collaborate effectively with faculty and staff.
- Commitment to the mission of a Catholic, college-preparatory, all-girls school.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
