We are looking for an experienced Satellite Processing System Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge space processing technologies that transform how we communicate in space. Working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, you will ensure the deployment of reliable, low-power, state-of-the-art spaceflight systems that meet the highest standards of performance and durability. 

 

 

What you will be doing​ 

 

  • Lead and participate in the system engineering process for advanced satellite processing systems, including requirements definition, architecture design, and system validation. 
  • Develop and optimize digital processing systems to support satellite applications. 
  • Perform detailed system-level analyses, simulations, and trade studies to ensure optimal performance and reliability. 
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate storage, processing, and connectivity capabilities into satellites. 
  • Take part in the development of the payload RF sub-systems and contribute on signal processing algorithms tailored for space applications. 
  • Ensure comprehensive testing, validation, and verification of systems to meet regulatory and industry standards. 
  • Monitor system performance and provide troubleshooting support for deployed systems, ensuring mission success. 
  • Document and maintain thorough records of design processes, test results, and system performance. 

 

 

​Requirements 

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Experience in the design and implementation of satellite communication systems. 
  • Knowledge of digital communication principles and satellite communication protocols. 
  • Familiarity with antenna systems, RF propagation, and modulation techniques. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex communication systems. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. 

 

 

Advantages 

 

  • Experience with software-defined radios and FPGA programming. 
  • Experience in executing a United States Space Force (USSF), Satellite Development Agency (SDA), or other U.S Government Agency program 
  • Knowledge of space industry standards and regulations. 
  • Experience with DVB-S2X, CCSDS, and 5G waveforms 
  • Experience with L2/L3 networking
