Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Access Control Officer to join our team, working Tuesday through Saturday from 2 pm to 10 pm. In this role, you will be responsible for managing access points, patrolling designated areas, and ensuring the safety and security of the premises. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help maintain a secure environment through vigilant surveillance, incident response, and customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the facility using access control systems, verifying identities of employees, visitors, and contractors
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure physical security, including checking fences, gates, and surveillance equipment
• Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies following established procedures
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any suspicious activity or security breaches
• Operate CCTV systems for continuous surveillance and conduct visual inspections during patrols
• Perform background checks on visitors or contractors as required by company policies
• Enforce security regulations with professionalism, including conflict de-escalation when necessary

Skills

• Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and CCTV operation
• Experience with law enforcement procedures or military background preferred
• Certified in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use
• Skilled in manual handling and heavy lifting to support physical security tasks
• Ability to write clear incident reports and conduct thorough background checks
• Familiarity with access control systems and loss prevention strategies
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on conflict management and conflict de-escalation
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures including fire safety and firearm handling where applicable
• Capable of performing patrolling duties efficiently while maintaining compliance with security regulations

Pay: $16.50 per hour
