Duties
- Assist with routine maintenance and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Support the installation, inspection, and troubleshooting of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in manufacturing processes.
- Perform basic welding tasks and assist with residential painting projects as needed.
- Use tools such as ohmmeters to measure electrical resistance and ensure proper system functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Help supervise small teams during specific projects or tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Conduct inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and report findings to senior technicians or supervisors.
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams.
- Electrical experience including familiarity with electrical systems, troubleshooting, and use of testing tools like ohmmeters.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of welding techniques and residential painting is a plus.
- Strong understanding of facilities maintenance practices within manufacturing or similar environments.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork.
- Supervising experience or leadership skills are preferred for guiding junior team members.
- Ability to read technical schematics and diagrams accurately.
- Prior experience with CMMS software for tracking work orders and maintenance history is advantageous.
