Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Handle laundry operations efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with care.
- Use appropriate chemical agents safely for cleaning tasks while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and dining spaces by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting floors.
- Manage janitorial supplies inventory and ensure proper storage and handling of cleaning equipment.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns.
- Execute heavy lifting tasks when moving furniture or large laundry loads safely with proper manual handling techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment used in hotel environments.
- Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required for laundry loads and cleaning supplies.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple cleaning responsibilities efficiently.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and respond effectively to guest needs or hotel emergency procedures.
- Prior hospitality or hotel experience is highly desirable; certification in custodial or industrial cleaning is a plus.
