Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the seamless operation of our facilities. This role is vital in maintaining the integrity, safety, and functionality of our hotel. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, electrical expertise, and hands-on experience with a variety of maintenance tasks. You will be responsible for performing routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance to uphold high standards of safety and efficiency across the facilities. Your proactive approach and technical proficiency will contribute significantly to creating a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for staff and visitors alike.
Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of building interior systems, including room HVACs, plumbing, electrical equipment, and facilities infrastructure
- Shampoo carpets and chairs/sofas
- Paint rooms, apply texture/flat wall finish
- Repair broken tile/missing grout in bathrooms, must know how to install tile
- Maintain clean grounds, includes emptying trash and basic landscaping
- Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on HVAC systems, including repairs and system upgrades
- Repair plumbing systems, including leak detection, pipe repairs, fixture replacements, and system maintenance
- Maintain facilities equipment by performing scheduled preventive maintenance tasks
- Ensure compliance with safety standards by adhering to local codes and regulations during all maintenance activities
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or residential environments
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience in building systems repair
- Hands-on expertise with HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, carpentry, painting, and general building interior upkeep
- Familiarity with schematics for electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical layouts
- Knowledge of maintenance tools such as hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic devices
- Ability to communicate fluently in English with excellent customer service skills
