Summary
Responsible for performing general labor tasks, assisting maintenance techs, maintaining a clean work environment throughout the manufacturing areas, forklift driving, moving raw material, finished products, and chip hoppers to facilitate the manufacturing process.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform general labor and cleaning tasks.
- Assist with simple maintenance job duties.
- Utilize a forklift to dump chip hoppers from machining centers to recycle as needed.
- Assist in loading and unloading truck with the use of a forklift, overhead crane and/or pallet jack.
- Sweeping and scrubbing of shop floors with the use of floor scrubber or other cleaning equipment and machinery.
- Empty garbage/recycling cans throughout the facility.
- Seek out areas requiring cleaning, take initiative to complete the task.
- ·Maintain an organized work environment while following all safety guidelines.
- ·Assists with other projects such as building skids and pallets for product transport.
- Light duty trucking (non CDL)
- Snow removal & salting entrances of the building (seasonal)
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education and/or Experience
- Requires High school diploma or GED.
Qualifications & Skills
- Requires ability to drive a forklift (certification preferred).
- Class B CDL with a clean driving record required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid DOT medical examiners card.
