Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Machine Operator role based in Charlotte, NC. The Machine Operator will set up, operate, and monitor production machinery used to manufacture steel framing components according to safety and quality standards. Daily tasks include feeding raw materials into machines, performing basic equipment adjustments, and using hand tools to support changeovers and minor maintenance. The role also involves inspecting products for defects, measuring materials to confirm specifications, and documenting production data. The Machine Operator will work closely with supervisors and team members to maintain a clean, safe work area and meet production schedules.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Machine Operation and working with various types of production Machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience performing Quality Control checks, including visual inspections and basic measurements to ensure products meet specifications.
- Ability to safely use Hand Tools for adjustments, minor repairs, and routine machine changeovers.
- Strong Communication skills to coordinate with supervisors, maintenance, and team members, and to report issues promptly.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior manufacturing or metal fabrication experience is a plus.
- Comfort working on your feet for extended periods and safely handling materials in an industrial setting.
- Basic mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and reliability in following safety procedures and production instructions.
