Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Site Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives across construction sites, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards. This vital role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs that promote a culture of safety excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and a deep understanding of occupational health and construction safety regulations. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee site-specific safety plans aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards, ANSI (American National Standards Institute), NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), NEC (National Electrical Code), and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Lead safety training sessions for construction workers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure understanding of safety protocols, emergency procedures, and OSHA compliance requirements.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to safety procedures related to electrical safety, hazard communication, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and construction management best practices.
- Manage incident investigations by documenting accidents or near-misses, analyzing root causes, and recommending preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure compliance management practices are followed throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and regulatory compliance documentation.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations including OSHA standards, ANSI standards, NFPA standards, and NEC codes.
- Proven experience in construction site safety management with a strong understanding of occupational health principles.
- Expertise in risk management techniques to identify potential hazards and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in team leadership and safety training implementation.
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office suite for reporting and documentation purposes.
- Familiarity with construction regulatory compliance requirements such as Workers' Compensation laws and OSHA reporting procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and conduct comprehensive safety training sessions.
- Ability to perform detailed hazard assessments related to electrical safety procedures and general construction activities.
