Job Summary
This position is responsible for having the knowledge and expertise to perform preventative maintenance and necessary repairs on tractors in the fleet. This position is also responsible for preventative maintenance and diagnostic testing for the fleet. The schedule for this position is Tuesday through Saturday 9am to 5pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
· Perform necessary repairs on our fleet of trucks and trailers
· Possess knowledge of Volvo and Freightliner truck systems
· Understand Volvo, Detroit, and Cummins engine diagnostics
· Ability to conduct regular preventative maintenance on trucks, including inspection, tire rotation, and oil changes
· Ability to use maintenance software to manage parts inventory and complete documentation of completed jobs and maintenance
· Collaborate with shop team to diagnose problems with tractors and complete repairs
· Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks and trailers
· Maintain a clean/safe work environment
· A valid Operator’s license with a clean record a must. Clean Class A license preferred
· Must serve on an on-call rotation for the shop
Minimum Qualifications
· 3-5 years of experience preferred
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
· Must have a comprehensive set of tools
