POSITION: Educational Team Chair
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Chair team meetings at the middle/high school
Facilitate writing of IEP’s with special education teachers and service providers
Complete all paperwork related to IEP meeting
Coordinate with related service providers
Send meeting notices and invitations to families, service providers and team members.
Maintain compliance with special education regulations.
Monitor IEPs for accuracy and compliance.
With support of special education department staff, maintain student records
Provide support and feedback to special education teachers regarding IEP writing and compliance.
Participate in providing school-based training to faculty, paraprofessionals and parent groups.
Act as a liaison with community agencies.
Ensure Transition Planning for special education students.
Attend school based special education department meetings.
Perform any other duties and assume other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Director of Special Education, or the Superintendent of Schools and Assistant Superintendents.
QUALIFICATIONS: Special Education, administrative, or related service licensure preferred.
Physical Requirement:
Position requires light work exerting up to twenty (20) pounds of force occasionally, and/or ten (10) pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Constant hearing, hand-eye coordination/mind-eye coordination; intermittent keyboarding and telephoning. Frequent repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers.
Possession of a valid driver’s license.
SALARY: $47,077 - $101,453 based on years experience and degree/credits
