Role and Responsibilities
Operations & Sales
- Post and refresh loads, search for trucks on load boards. (DAT)
- Bid on loads on various load boards
- Negotiate rates and broker loads to carriers.
- Work with carriers/compliance to get new carriers set up in TMS.
- Ensure loads are covered/brokered timely maximizing profitability to the company.
- Communicate problems/issues to Transportation Coordinator/Lead and assist with resolving operational issues as needed.
- Send customer requests for accessorials and update TMS once approved.
- Ensure loads are updated and moved to proper statuses in TMS system on a timely basis.
- Update TMS with dispatch notes and updates.
- Backup for Transportation Coordinator(s) & Broker(s).
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Experience in Transportation/Logistics industry
Experience as a Transportation Coordinator &/or Broker
Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Customer relations/service
High school graduate
Preferred Skills
Experience using Logistics software (Mercury Gate preferred)
College education preferred
Additional NotesHourly Commission

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
