Program & Rally Kid Coordinator
Location: Atlanta, GA (In-office)
Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, empowers volunteers across the country to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research to find better treatments with fewer long-term side effects and, ultimately, cures.
Rally is seeking a motivated professional who is passionate about supporting families and growing fundraising efforts. This role is ideal for someone eager to build a career in nonprofit development, family programs, and events within a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Position Overview
The Rally Kid Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting Rally Families across Georgia while driving grassroots fundraising and community engagement. This individual serves as a key relationship manager for families navigating childhood cancer and partners closely with the Development Team to grow revenue through campaigns, school programs, and community partnerships.
This role requires compassion, strong execution, and the ability to balance meaningful family support with measurable fundraising outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Rally Family Engagement & Programs
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Rally Kids and families in Georgia, building trusted, long-term relationships.
- Coordinate onboarding for new families, including welcome materials and ongoing support.
- Lead weekly hospital engagement at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta – Arthur M. Blank Campus, including Rally Good Meals, snack programs, and family support initiatives.
- Plan and execute Rally Kid and Family events, including:
- Ice Cream Social
- #GOLDSTRONG Fest
- Trunk or Treat
- Milk & Cookies with Santa
- Coordinate Rally Kid participation in signature events including Rally on the Runway, Day of Pampering, Day of Play, and Rally Benefit Bash.
- Support Rally Family involvement in third-party and community events.
Fundraising & Community Engagement
- Lead and grow 4 Quarters 4 Research (4Q4R) by expanding school partnerships across Georgia and surrounding areas.
- Recruit and support families participating in the 47 Faces of Rally campaign, ensuring strong engagement and achievement of fundraising goals.
- Build and manage relationships with local businesses, schools, and community groups to drive fundraising and awareness.
- Support small-scale community partnerships and grassroots fundraising initiatives.
Volunteer & Program Support
- Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to support family programs, hospital initiatives, and events.
- Create meaningful opportunities for Rally Families to engage as ambassadors and fundraisers.
Event & Team Support
- Support Rally events as needed in partnership with the Development and Events teams.
- Contribute to a collaborative, “all hands-on-deck” team culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Child Life, Education, Nonprofit, or related field preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of empathy and professionalism
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Self-starter with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with fundraising, relationship building, and community outreach
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Ability to travel locally multiple days per week; valid driver’s license required
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. for event and program support
- The Flu vaccination is required by the hospital this position will be working with
