The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience: BSME or MSME 5 yrs. Ability to work with operations team and suppliers to optimize for manufacturability. Comfortable engaging directly with customers regularly. Understanding of production and assembly processes for electronic equipment. Ability to design independently or within a small team. Be passionate about moving customer requirements into fully functioning mechanical assemblies. High proficiency with Creo & Windchill CAD SW. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools & excellent Excel skills. Experience in prototyping, testing, and evaluating your own designs. Thermal analysis of electronics enclosures. o Experience with Cadence Celsius Studio (Formerly 6SigmaET) CFD analysis package a plus. Strong understanding of material science and mechanical properties. Experience designing cables, PCBs, plastic, and machined parts. Experience with lasers and optical fibers a plus. Practiced use of basic statistics for design analysis and DOE.
