What You’ll Do:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic GI conditions.
- Perform patient assessments, including medical history and physical exams.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
- Educate patients on GI health, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Provide follow-up care and ensure continuity between visits.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in the EMR.
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement and clinical review activities.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active North Carolina PA or NP license
- Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
- NCCPA certification (PA) or board certification (NP)
- Current BLS certification
- GI experience preferred—but not required.
Preferred:
- Experience in Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine
- ACLS certification
