GI Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner

What You’ll Do:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic GI conditions.
• Perform patient assessments, including medical history and physical exams.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
• Educate patients on GI health, treatment plans, and preventive care.
• Provide follow-up care and ensure continuity between visits.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical review activities.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active North Carolina PA or NP license
• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
• NCCPA certification (PA) or board certification (NP)
• Current BLS certification
• GI experience preferred—but not required.

Preferred:

• Experience in Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine
• ACLS certification
