The Assistant Director, Quality & Risk Management will report directly to the Director, Quality & Risk. The ideal candidate will have a passion for positive nursing quality outcomes and problem solving. The Quality department has multiple supporting areas such as Inpatient wound care, Sepsis, Infection Control and Stroke.
This is an Exempt, Full Time position with the opportunity to have flexibility in their work schedule hours.
How you'll contribute
An Assistant Director, Quality & Risk, who excels in this role will bring their passion for nursing to the following responsibilities:
- Analyze complex situations to identify opportunities for improvement using data driven decision making
- Assist departments in the development, implementation, and monitoring of performance and outcomes measurement
- Prioritizes projects based on the organization's strategic quality goals
- Develops strategies to implement projects
- Manage projects, including department resource allocation and team development
- Uses analytical skills for improving patient safety and enhancing the quality of patient care
- Performs root cause and failure mode effects analyses
- Provides written and graphical reports to appropriate committees on a monthly basis
- Assisting in leading the quality improvement and risk management programs
- Schedules and coordinates the Patients Safety and Clinical Quality Committee
- Assists leaders in the development of departmental goals
- Builds relationships throughout the hospital in order to improve patient safety
- Assists in the development of action plans as needed to demonstrate compliance with State, Federal and The Joint Commission regulations
What we're looking for
Qualified applicants are required to have a current West Virginia RN license and possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
- Basic Life Support certification
CPPS, CPHRM and/or CPHQ is preferred
