Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting furniture that meets their needs and style preferences
- Demonstrate product features through engaging demos and explain benefits clearly to encourage purchases
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays and ensure products are well-stocked and properly organized through merchandising and stocking tasks
- Process sales transactions efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems, handle cash and card payments accurately, and manage cash handling procedures
- Upsell complementary products or accessories to maximize sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service
- Provide detailed product information, answer customer questions with professionalism, and maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting remotely or over the phone
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, assisting with stock replenishment, and ensuring accurate record keeping
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in furniture or home goods, is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and basic retail math for accurate transactions
- Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience is beneficial for team collaboration and guiding new associates
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive shopping experiences
- Familiarity with merchandising standards, stocking procedures, and retail operations from furniture stores or similar environments is advantageous
