Duties
- Perform acupuncture treatments targeting various conditions, including acute pain management and chronic ailments
- Conduct thorough patient assessments through physical examinations and detailed health histories
- Apply acupuncture techniques to relieve muscle tension and reduce pain
- Educate patients on treatment plans, self-care practices, and lifestyle modifications to support ongoing wellness
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques to ensure safe and hygienic treatment environments
- Document patient progress, treatment details, and outcomes accurately in medical records using appropriate medical terminology
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs
Requirements
- Valid National Board certification and NC state license to practice acupuncture in North Carolina
- Medical malpractice insurance
- Proven experience in pain management, internal medicine (TCM), and general patient care
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to acupuncture and pain management
- Ability to perform physical examinations and patient assessments effectively
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on compassionate patient service and education
