Job Summary
Conduct microbiology research to support Ralco’s animal health and crop product products. Responsibilities include performing assays (MICs, enzyme activity, antibiotic resistance, qPCR, etc.), maintaining lab supplies and operations, recording data, and collaborating with the research team. Requires a bachelor’s degree in microbiology or related field or equivalent lab experience, strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills, and ability to work independently and in a team. Preferred experience includes aseptic lab techniques and method design.

Travel: Minimal travel between local facilities

Job Responsibilities
Laboratory Research & Experimental Work
- Conduct microbiological and molecular assays, including:
- Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) testing
- Enzyme activity and antibiotic resistance profiling
- Growth curve and synergy/combination studies
- Continuous culture trials
- qPCR and other molecular biology techniques
- Assist in experiment design, optimization, and troubleshooting
- Accurately collect, record, and organize scientific data
- Contribute to interpretation of results to meet research objectives
- Maintain lab organization, cleanliness, and equipment functionality
- Monitor inventory and proactively manage supply orders
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards
- Communicate progress, challenges, and findings clearly to supervisors and team members
- Collaborate to improve methods and ensure high-quality outcomes
- Proficiency in core microbiology techniques and aseptic workflows.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to troubleshoot and propose practical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
