Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst (Advanced) to support the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). The consultant will work as part of a full-lifecycle Agile/Hybrid development team and collaborate with business SMEs, technical teams, and stakeholders to translate strategic and operational needs into detailed business and technical requirements.
Key Requirements
- 12 years of Business Analysis experience, including business process analysis, requirements documentation, and independent facilitation with executives and SMEs
- Strong experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements
- Strong process mapping/modeling experience using Microsoft Visio
- Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications
- Strong understanding of SDLC, system analysis, and application development
- Experience with data migration, testing/QA, change management, and release management
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams
- Experience creating business cases, use cases, test cases, process flows, gap analyses, as-is/to-be documentation, and technical specifications
- Experience supporting application modernization, remediation, migration, and system sunset initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, documentation, and communication skills
- Azure DevOps experience for requirements/backlog management is preferred.
Highly Preferred
- Previous State Government / State Client experience is preferred
- Transportation industry / Department of Transportation experience is preferred
- Knowledge of State of Florida IT standards, methodologies, governance, or Rules 60GG-1 through 60GG-5 is highly desirable
- Exposure to Power BI
- Certifications such as CSM, CSPO/CSO, CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMI-ACP, PMP, or ITIL are preferred but not required.
Candidates selected for consideration must attend an onsite interview, which includes a formal interview discussion and a timed work-sample exercise.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, Information Systems, or a related fieldis required. Equivalent work experience may substitute for the education requirement

Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
