Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU
Location: Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19140
Duration: 13 weeks (possible extension)
Shift: 19:00 - 07:30
Guaranteed Hours: 36

Pay Details:

• Local Candidates (within 50 miles): $67–$72/hr
• Travelers (W2, >50 miles): $70/hr blended | $2,520weekly gross ($784.08 taxable $1,735.92 stipend)
• Travelers (1099): $73/hr | $2,628 weekly gross

Position Overview

• Unit: PACU hosting ICU-level boarders
• Patient Population: Primarily trauma overflow (no previous trauma training required)
• Schedule:
• Unit operates Monday 7:00 AM – Saturday 7:00 PM
• No Sundays
• Block scheduling may be considered
• Float Requirements:
• May float to the ED for ICU holds
• May float to other ICU or Stepdown units based on census/need

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive ICU-level nursing care to PACU-based ICU boarders
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for assigned patients
• Collaborate with physicians, family members, and interdisciplinary staff
• Utilize critical thinking and prioritization to manage high-acuity patients
• Maintain strict adherence to nursing standards, policies, and documentation practices
• Direct and support nursing staff in delivering quality patient care
• Uphold safety practices and ensure timely communication with all care team members

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing – Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
• PA Registered Nurse License – Required
• BLS certification – Required
• 1 year of experience in ICU or related clinical specialty – Preferred
• Strong critical care assessment skills and ability to adapt in high-acuity environments
• Willingness to float to ED/ICU/Stepdown areas as needed
