Duration: 13-week Contract
Shift: Days – 3x12-Hour (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Blended Hourly W2 Pay Rate:      $68.00 
Blended Weekly Gross Pay Rate:  $2,448.00
Minimum Hourly W2 Pay Rate:    $23.00
Min. W2 Weekly Gross (Taxable):  $828.00 
Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable):    $1,620.00

For Traveler 1099 Candidates: 
Pay Rate on 1099 to the Candidate: $70.00 
Weekly 1099 Traveler Pay Rate:       $2,520.00 

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract at a community hospital in North Providence, RI. The RN will care for patients of all ages and acuity levels—including behavioral health cases—in a fast-paced, non-trauma ER environment. This is a mid-shift position (11 AM – 11 PM) with ASAP start and every other weekend requirement (7 weekend shifts per contract).

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality emergency care to Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
• Respond to urgent and emergent situations, administering emergency medications and performing life-saving interventions
• Perform phlebotomy, IV starts, administer IV vasopressors, continuous sedatives/paralytics
• Interpret/manage dysrhythmias; obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs
• Manage stroke, seizure, respiratory infections, asthma, epiglottitis, CVA, skin disorders, UTIs
• Provide behavioral/mental health crisis care including suicidal patients, drug overdoses, violent behavior, and psych holds
• Administer procedural sedation and manage ventilated patients, CPAP/BiPAP
• Apply splints, observe for signs of abuse, implement isolation precautions
• Accurately document all care provided in MediTech system
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team using SBAR method

Certification & Requirements:

• Required Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Experience:
• Minimum 2 years recent ER experience required
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• System Requirements:
• Medication Dispensing: Omnicell
• Documentation: MediTech (required)
• Communication: SBAR
