Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Location: West Gore Boulevard, Lawton, OK

Duration 13-Week Contract (With possibility of extension)
Shift 12 Hour Nights

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Pay Rate:

For Local Candidates pay rate: $51 to $54/hr. (If your permanent address is within 50-miles from the facility)

For Travelers/Stipend Candidates (If your permanent address is outside the 50-mile radius from the facility):
Blended Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $60.00
Blended Weekly Gross Pay Rate:  $2,160.00
Minimum Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $26.00
Min. W2 Weekly Gross (Taxable): $936.00
Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable):    $1,224.00

OR

For Traveler 1099 Candidates:
Pay Rate on 1099 to the Candidate: $63.00
Weekly 1099 Traveler Pay Rate:        $2,268.00

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our multidisciplinary Intensive Care Unit (ICU), which includes Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU), and Neuro ICU specialties. This dynamic, high-acuity unit serves a diverse patient population, including pediatric patients when emergency transport is unavailable.

Licenses:

• Active Oklahoma/Compact State RN License.
• BLS Certification.
• ACLS Certification.
• PALS Certification.

Skills required:

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in a 1:2 (occasionally 1:3) nurse-to-patient ratio setting.
• Provide specialized cardiovascular care, including monitoring of post-op cardiac surgery patients and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).
• Assess, monitor, and manage neurological, surgical, and medical ICU patients across all specialties.
• Care for pediatric patients when helicopter transport is unavailable, ensuring age-appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Administer medications, manage ventilators, perform advanced patient monitoring, and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Float to CVCU (1:4 ratio) or ED to assist with hold patients as required based on unit census.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record and report changes in condition to the care team.
• Participate in ongoing education, training, and performance improvement initiatives.
