Metallurgical Engineer (FPG)

• Pay Rate: $46.16-$69.24/hour on W2
• Contract: 6 months

Raise is currently hiring a Metallurgical Engineer (FPG) on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Responsibilities

• Performs the metallurgical engineering analysis of materials, such as chemical, metallographic, mechanical testing and scanning electron microscopy.
• Applies both specific technical and diversified knowledge of metallurgical engineering principles and practices in the conduct of performing laboratory testing and analysis of materials.
• May direct these activities depending upon experience and particular situation. Expected to make substantive judgments in developing, modifying, and implementing procedures to achieve laboratory analysis.
• Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and adherence to applicable QA program requirements and procedures, as this testing and analysis also supports nuclear power plant testing and evaluations.
• Responsible for preparing and overseeing technical report development for completed analysis, including reports by lower-level employees.
• Where applicable, apply the practices/specifications identified in ASTM, AME, ANSI, and ASME.
  
  

Qualifications

• Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) experience Laboratory experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with a quality program is desired.
