Growth Operations Coordinator (Part-Time, Temp-to-Hire)

Rainy Day Pets is a growing premium pet care company building a curated network of trusted caregivers across Westchester and surrounding markets.

Our goal is to combine the personalization of an individual sitter with the reliability, standards, accountability, and client experience of a professional company.

We provide services including dog walking, drop-ins, daycare, boarding, and other personalized pet care services, with a strong focus on trust, communication, reliability, and peace of mind for pet parents.

As the company grows, we are building the systems, team, and standards needed to expand market by market without sacrificing quality.

Role Description

We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and accountable Operations & Growth Coordinator to help manage the day-to-day operations of Rainy Day Pets and support the company’s continued growth.

This is a part-time, temp-to-hire role with the potential to grow into a larger operations or management position based on performance.

This is not a passive administrative role.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, solves problems, communicates clearly, and can help keep a growing service business organized while supporting the Founder and leadership team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sitter schedules and service coverage

• Manage schedule changes, cancellations, and backup coverage

• Communicate with sitters and help resolve operational issues

• Maintain accurate client, pet, and caregiver information

• Support sitter recruiting, onboarding, and documentation

• Assist with client communication and service follow-up

• Help maintain SOPs, checklists, trackers, and internal systems

• Monitor operational issues and proactively flag problems

• Assist with customer retention and follow-up

• Support lead management, partnerships, and growth initiatives

• Help improve internal processes as the company scales

• Work closely with the Founder and leadership team on priority projects

• Experience in operations, scheduling, customer service, hospitality, pet care, or service-based businesses is strongly preferred

• Management or team coordination experience is a plus

Within the first 60–90 days, the right person should be able to:

• Keep schedules organized and fully covered

• Reduce the number of operational issues that require founder involvement

• Improve communication between sitters, clients, and leadership

• Help create more consistent internal processes

• Identify problems before they become emergencies

• Take increasing ownership of day-to-day operations
