Collision Estimator – High-End Auto Body Shop
Position: Collision Estimator
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Collision Estimator to join our team at a high-end auto body repair facility. The ideal candidate understands the collision repair process from start to finish and takes pride in providing accurate estimates, excellent customer service, and quality repairs.
Responsibilities
- Inspect damaged vehicles and accurately identify all necessary repairs.
- Write detailed and accurate collision repair estimates.
- Prepare supplements as additional damage is discovered during the repair process.
- Communicate professionally with customers, insurance companies, technicians, and parts vendors.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure estimates accurately reflect the repair plan.
- Research OEM repair procedures and manufacturer requirements.
- Identify hidden or related damage during the repair process.
- Verify parts, labor times, operations, and repair procedures.
- Maintain accurate and complete repair orders.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating repairs when needed.
- Keep customers informed throughout the repair process.
- Ensure repairs are documented properly with photographs and detailed notes.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Previous collision estimating experience required.
- Strong knowledge of automotive collision repair procedures.
- Experience with estimating software such as CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex preferred.
- Knowledge of OEM repair procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while also being an effective team member.
- Ability to manage multiple repair orders and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with luxury and exotic vehicles is a plus.
