Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Acro Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Acro/gymnastic dance styles (at least 4-5 years of teaching experience), be certified in Acro. This role involves developing and implementing Acro dance curricula, managing classroom dynamics, helping students continue growth in their Acro skills, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Help develop and implement our Acro dance curriculum, tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe and supportive learning atmosphere.
- Provide individualized instruction and feedback to students to enhance their skills.
- Choreograph and rehearse for performances (twice a year).
- Maintain a safe studio environment for all participants.
- Communicate effectively with staff and students (and sometimes parents) regarding progress and areas for improvement.
Skills
- Strong background and experience in Acro curriculum development and lesson planning.
- Knowledge and experience in safe and correct teaching and spotting methods for all ages and levels of Acro skills (Ages 6 and levels 1-4).
- Acro certification and/or equivalent of at least 4-5 years of Acro teaching skills with experience working with children, adults, or special education populations.
- Excellent classroom management abilities to maintain an engaging learning environment.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and childhood development principles.
- Additional skills in other dance forms help, and could possibly add more hours to your weekly schedule.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
